Well, the Harrogate show seems to have been a big success and we had reports back from a few folks who had managed to get to it and really enjoyed meeting up. We had new lathes on show, some lovely work on show and of course...some Orchids. A challenge has been set for those wanting to participate and there's a prize for the groups favourite entry...read on for more!
Andrew Hall was demonstrating throughout the Harrogate show and had a full house for pretty much the whole event. Lots of turning, lots of banter and one or two songs thrown in !! Andrew also suggested that we have a Christmas Tree challenge with anyone who wants to participate making a Christmas tree and sending in photographs.
Daniel Stewart sent in some photographs of recent work including a Christmas Tree decoration and a lovely off centre winged bowl with some rather lovely quilting in the timber. Lovely work !
Martin Stacey sent over some photos of his new toy essential piece of workshop equipment but has been struggling to get time with it due to some essential repairs at his parents house...a collapsing bathroom floor!! Never mind, I'm sure we'll be seeing some of Martins work on the new lathe shortly !!
Patrick Lindsay has been out hard at work again, putting us all to shame !! Patrick has been out there working his way through the large batch of timber he had delivered and producing more natural edge pieces. Of course we also got some Orchids !!
Phil Irons sent in a some photos from his visit to Harrogate, seems like everyone was having a very good time !!
Richard Dickson was also at the Harrogate show and sent over some photos, we also got some photos of a rather lovely money box hollow form in Olive Ash with a threaded lid...very nice indeed.
