Lost of folks taking advantage of the recent decent weather to tackle those outdoor jobs before the bad weather returns, some tree felling, some interior renovations, rechargeable light bulbs and nesting dolls...some of us even got some woodturning done, whatever next !! Read on for more:

Andrew Hall has been out making the most of the decent weather and getting those outdoor jobs knocked off one by one....still lots to do and then there's all the indoor "little jobs"...busy chap!!

Arun: WoodturningArun has started back at college but this year he will be travelling on Mondays so he may not be joining us. We did however get an update showing some Monkey Puzzle blanks and saw Arun at work dropping a fairly decent sized Beech tree, if look closely at the video you can see the reason why it had to come down....the butt appears to be like a Polo mint - it has a hole in the middle!!

Burnsy: WoodturningBurnsy tackled the update on the 3d printer and it came back with an error message !! It would appear that one of the parts is faulty and we are now waiting for a replacement from the Czech Republic. A rechargeable light bulb was also on display and caused a quite a bit of discussion.

Kevin Purdy: WoodturningKevin Purdy sent in some photos of some boxes he had been making plus a Salt Pig he had made for a club competition, as always some lovely work on show !!

Martin Stacey: WoodturningMartin Stacey sent in some photos showing a handrail he had fitted to his stairs, the handrail features an LED lighting strip on the underside to illuminate the stairs - this proved to be very interesting to a number of us with eyes that are perhaps not quite so good as they were. We also got a look at a project underway in the workshop to make Matryoshka dolls (russian nesting dolls), Martin is working out how to put them together and we will get to see the finished project in the near future. The world record is 51 nested dolls so we are expecting at least 60 pieces, no pressure !!
