Another Monday night and plenty of work on show from those in attendance, some lively discussions and more than a few laughs along the way. Here is the round up in case you missed it!
Bill Mooney sent in some photos of a selection of the pens he makes on a regular basis to support the veterans charity he supports. Bill makes these on a very regular basis and has developed his own signature shape, designed to accomodate those of us who's grip on those skinny little pens isn't quite what it was! Bill was also kind enough to donate a pen as a give away prize, the prize was won by Martin Stacey....lucky chap!
Graham Brooks has been out making some hats, inspired of course by Andrew Hall and others. Graham has also been busy making a more seasonal project in the form of a decorated easter egg, it's actually a box containing lots of smaller easter eggs.
Maggie Irving has been out in the workshop turning hollow forms, this time she adapted a unique technique she learned from that same Australian bloke, though I'm fairly sure he goes through the sides not the base....
Kevin Purdy sent over some photos of some seasonal items he has been working on, a couple of easter bunnies as fun gifts for relatives. Very nice!
Martin Stacey sent over some photos of some bowls he had been working on. Martin has been working on a pierced bowl and a more traditional bowl. Very nice too Martin!
Patrick Lindsay sent over a photo of a hollow form with a little question: Name the timber? Well if you weren't there you are going to have to guess!!
As always we had several contributions from others but the session is not recorded so I don't have screen shots....if you showed something then please do send over some photos, you can do it from your mobile phone.... it's not that hard, just ask a teenager for help!!
DON'T FORGET: YOU SHOULD SEND OVER YOUR PHOTOS FOR MONDAY EVENING RIGHT AWAY FOLKS!!
Don't forget you can find the previous Monday Session Reports on the website just click here. You can also look at the images for each week by clicking here and look at the images for each contributor by clicking here.
Once again thanks to all of you for making these evenings such a success, if nobody contributed then none of these evenings could happen. Keep on making and, most important of all, keep on sharing!
