Well after the host last week (thanks again Pat) it was back down to earth with a bump to the normal Monday evening host...though maybe we should do the "guest host" thing more often?
So to summarise the evening we had the following contributions:
Ian Forster gave us a look at some Laburnum he had been working with and shared some photos of some small but perfectly formed bowls and a box he had been working on. The full set of images is further down the page.

Jim French shared a selection of pieces including a hollow form with a high gloss finish. The pieces are shown further down the page.
Of course no evening would be complete without a trip to "sticky corner" so we had a series of images shared by Kevin "Mr Powertex" McAllister of his latest foray into the world of the sticky stuff. Another stunning and unique piece, the photos of the piece and the process are shown below.
We had a number of other items shared by members of the session including: Pat Carroll, Helen Bailey, David Gordon, Gary Lowe, Martin Stacey and Phil Irons (a Michael Hosaluk piece from his collection). A selection of stills from the session are shown below.
Following on from an earlier session we took a poll to select a remote demonstrator to book and that came out with the choice that for our first remote demonstration we would book Emiliano Achaval to do a demonstration on Calabash turning including adding patches or pewa to splits and cracks. So watch this space for dates and times!!
As many of you know, Mark Baker passed away recently, Pat has been working on a tribute to Mark and would like any contributions you can make - photos, recollections and stories. So if you've a favourite memory of Mark then please let Pat know. You can see the fundraising page set up in Mark's memory here:

On the site you will now find a new listing of upcoming IRD's and if you do go to any then please let the folks in the session know how it went...but remember to be positive and constructive please!!
