Another Monday evening that went well, we must be doing something right as we are picking up new people...though they may not actually come back for a second helping of course !!
So this week from those attending we had the following:
Pat Carroll who has the cleanest and tidiest workshop space has a little secret...and earlier in the day I managed to grab a screen shot of the normally spotless workshop in a state of disarray....makes me feel a little better about the state in my own workspace !!

Jim French managed to find some photos of one of his pieces based on the "death star", the original piece is now lost....probably in a "galaxy far, far away" ....sorry just couldn't resist that one. Hopefully Jim can unearth some more treasures from the attic...
Of course we had our usual trip to "sticky corner" however this time we had a platter and not from Kevin but from Cameron McAlister and not a trace of the "sticky stuff" in sight....whatever next! Kevin is now struggling to get acess to the workshop as Cameron has taken over and looking at this platter we all agreed that he needed his own lathe.
Martin Stacey showed us some of his carved work, experimenting with some new materials and of course an electric chainsaw to carve rather than turn...just goes to show that there is more to life than a lathe!
We had a number of images through from Stephen Mellor to show us what he had been up to, including a miniature lathe which proved to be a very popular piece with most of those in attendance....and I'm sure OneWay would be very happy if they saw it!

Last but not least we had some images through from Bill Mooney, some work in pine from an old piece of timber rescued from a house renovation. The timber was turned into bowls and then grit blasted in a home made cabinet made from a plastic storage box with a clear lid, the results speak for themselves.
