Well, another busy Monday evening with plenty of things going on in a variety of workshops, lots of shavings of various types being made.....and Pat's still trying to claim that the image of his untidy workshop was a fake.....we all know the truth mate!
So this week from those attending we had the following:
Dave Blanden gave everyone an view of some of the work he has been doing. Dave is a relative newcomer to Monday evenings....hopefully we won't have scared him off altogether!

Jim French managed to unearth some photos of more of his "back catalogue", I'm sure that many of us will remember some of these pieces from the shows at Brampton....even though it may be a while before we have another one.
Kevin McAlister has been out playing with the sticky stuff again...this time we have a box with a ruff.....it must be catching because two bottles of the sticky stuff have appeared in my own workshop....now I just need to work out what to do with it!
Jay Heryet walked us through some batch/production turning jobs she has had in recently as a follow on from Kevin McAlister's "chimney" production run which was in last weeks session (2/11/20).... so that's two weeks in a row and we haven't scared Jay off yet!
Len Shield has lost control of his workshop to a new turner. Len's grand daughter, Martha, has taken up turning and by the looks of things will be putting us all to shame in the not too distant future....really great to see a young person getting involved and having a go.

Philip Bull has been out in the workshop and produced a rather lovely piece of work in the shape of a traditional rocking horse with a carved body and a partly turned stand. Apparently the mane and tail required the services of a hairdresser...the jockey looks to be really enjoying riding the horse and rightly so.

Bill Mooney sent over some photos of his work, this time a piece Bill turned after losing his sight. Bill opted to turn something which would force him to find out how far he could push things .... I think the work speaks for itself!
Allan Joicey sent through a slideshow of images from trips to the show at Brampton over the last few years....you might spot a few things or faces you know:
