Andrew Hall has been celebrating a significant birthday, it's the big 60 for Mr Hall!! I'm sure we all wish him a very happy birthday..though I'm not sure that the cake is going to be "Keto" .... still, I'm sure Andrew will still manage it though!

Dave Blanden has been out making some hollow forms ...that's pots to you and me! All in all a very nice collection of vessels using some very attractive spalted timber.

Graham Brooks showed us a wall piece he has been making. It had to be turned very carefully being large and out of round. Most of the bark has remained intact and a centre boss has been created.

Ken Bryden showed us a piece he has made based on a Pat Carroll IRD he had attended. It is a raised bowl on four legs that have been turned then split apart. Perhaps we should have Ken doing some of these IRD's ........
Kevin McAlister has been allowed to use Cameron's workshop again, very generous! This time the powertex has been set aside and the airbrush has been out along with the carving tools. Very nice indeed!
Martin Stacey has been out and tried something new. Martin has been watching some YouTube videos and has decided to have a go at a bandsaw box and very nice it is too !
Pat Carroll has been spending his Euro's on some more essential workshop equipment (isn't all workshop equipment essential though??). This time it's some shiny new toolrests from Steve Sinner over in the USA.....now what was the web address for those again.....
Patrick Lindsay sent over some photos of a batch of wooden eggs he had been making for a charity sale in Hexham. They came along with a query on how to price them up for the charity which caused a fair bit of discussion.
As always we had several contributions from others but the session is not recorded so I don't have screen shots....if you showed something then please do send over some photos, you can do it from your mobile phone.... it's not that hard, just ask a teenager for help!!
Don't forget you can find the previous Monday Session Reports on the website just click here. You can also look at the images for each week by clicking here and look at the images for each contributor by clicking here.
Once again thanks to all of you for making these evenings such a success, if nobody contributed then none of these evenings could happen. Keep on making and, most important of all, keep on sharing!
Photos are below, as usual click on the little image to see a bigger version:
