Well, this week we managed to get away with a minimal number of Christmas turnings (still in Scrooge mode), we had a very large pencil sharpener and Pat showed us all his rusty nuts.....I believe you can get treatment for this on the NHS....read on for more.

Burnsy: Woodturning

Burnsy showed us a shiny new toy in the shape of a Veritas tenon cutter that was bought for a stool making project. However it was the bench mounted scraper burnisher that caught most peoples eye...it's a Veritas tool and its used to put a burr onto scrapers.

Dave Blanden: WoodturningDave Blanden sent over some photos of a variety of things made including some vases both natural and coloured along with some boxes and a tealight holder.

Julian Cleak: WoodturningJulian Cleak sent over a photo of a casualty of storm Arwen, looks like there's plenty of turning wood in that one!

Len Shield: WoodturningLen Shield sent over some photos of a Christmas tree with a definite lean to it, most likely inspired by storm Arwen. We also got a look at an ear ring stand made for his grandaughter to store all those ear rings she's been turning.

Pat Carroll: WoodturningPat Carroll sent over a photo of his rusty nuts. The nuts and bolts were made as an example of what can be achieved with the rust (and other) patina/paint finishes Pat is so well known for. It was generally agreed that you could get some sort of ointment for rusty nuts...

Patrick Lindsay: WoodturningPatrick Lindsay sent over some photos of an assortment of his recent work including some more rough turned pieces of the highly figured cherry, a lidded form and a monkey puzzle piece in progress. Of course no week would be complete without some orchids and this week we were shown some absolute stunners!

Stephen Mellor: WoodturningStephen Mellor sent over some photos of some recent items including a commission for smoking figure for a Sheffield fan (hence the blades crest) who also happens to like golf.

As always we had several contributions from others so, if you showed something, then please do send over some photos you can do it from your mobile phone.... it's not that hard, just ask a teenager for help!!

DON'T FORGET: YOU SHOULD SEND OVER YOUR PHOTOS FOR MONDAY EVENING RIGHT AWAY FOLKS!!

Don't forget you can find the previous Monday Session Reports on the website just click here. You can also look at the images for each week by clicking here and look at the images for each contributor by clicking here.

Once again thanks to all of you for making these evenings such a success, if nobody contributed then none of these evenings could happen. Keep on making and, most important of all,  keep on sharing!
