Well the last session before Christmas was certainly a lively one, everyone pitched in as usual and the evening was certainly one to remember....
Andrew Hall pitched into the general fun and games with this topical image .... I surprised the dog didn't dive around the back of the screen to round them up!
Arun Radysh Haasis sent over some photos of a piece he's made from a Cedar..a victim of the recent storms. It's a nice big natural edge piece and of course Arun's photos show the work in progress ....so all of you RU fans can see the beast at work!
Graham Brooks sent over some photos of a piece he's made using a deer antler. Having a good supply of these locally I'd always wondered what to do with them....and this has given me loads of ideas!
Len Shield sent over some photos of a couple of "smokers" he's made. We also have a couple of videos showing the smokers in action, see below.
Mike Wilson sent over some photos of some timber he had been getting from a recent event he attended along with Pat and Helen...looking forward to seeing the products Mike!
Pat Carroll and Helen Bailey attended the same event as Mike Wilson to do some in-person demonstration....remember that?? Helen can just about be seen under the deluge of wet shavings being fired across the room by Pat...good job she's got that hi-viz turning smock !!
Patrick Lindsay sent over some photos of a natural edge bowl showing how he goes about making them from raw timber to finished bowl.
Videos from Len Shield:
As always we had several contributions from others so, if you showed something, then please do send over some photos you can do it from your mobile phone.... it's not that hard, just ask a teenager for help!!
DON'T FORGET: YOU SHOULD SEND OVER YOUR PHOTOS FOR MONDAY EVENING RIGHT AWAY FOLKS!!
Don't forget you can find the previous Monday Session Reports on the website just click here. You can also look at the images for each week by clicking here and look at the images for each contributor by clicking here.
Once again thanks to all of you for making these evenings such a success, if nobody contributed then none of these evenings could happen. Keep on making and, most important of all, keep on sharing!
