Another busy week, we had and update from an in-person demonstration, a Sturgeon Moon, basketry, lathe restoration and we even managed to fit in some woodturning
Andrew Hall sent over an image showing Indy and Bailey with their new cooling off paddling pool...thing is Indy doesn't look so keen on that thing really.
Burnsy sent over an image of the recent Sturgeon Moon as seen over the Solway Firth from Ross Bay ...yes that is the MOON rising and not the sun setting with the lights of the Cumbrian coast below.
Gary Lowe along with several other regulars attended an in-person demo by Helen Bailey at Galloway Woodturners. Lots of photos from the day which proved to be really entertaining... Gary has also sent over some photos of a lovely hollow form he found the time to make.
Kevin Purdy has been off basket weaving again. The result this time is another really lovely piece of work from Kevin, absolutely fantastic!
Martin Stacey sent in some photos of his latest creation, a bit of segmented turning in the form of a pepper mill. We also got some photos of some very expensive cars from a Track day Martin took part in, driving an Aston Martin. Very nice indeed!
Pat Carroll sent in some photos of a new piece of domestic furniture has been restoring, a very nice early treadle lathe. Not sure I'd get away with something like that in the corner of the living room but it's worth a try....
As always we had several contributions from others so, if you showed something, then please do send over some photos you can do it from your mobile phone.... it's not that hard, just ask a teenager for help!!
