Lots and lots of stuff this week and surprisingly ..... lots of turning....some of it round, some not so much. Read on for more details.
Andrew Hall sent over some photos of his new dog agility course and some photos of the dogs using it. Indy seems to have the idea but it looks like Bailey has a way to go....
Arun Radysh Haasis had a busy week starting college but still managed to take a 6 hour trip home and get some turning in. A monkey puzzle hollow form plus some freshly cut Eucalyptus which is starting to move significantly. Phil Irons gave us an indication of what is likely to happen later on.
Burnsy sent over some images of the new workstation set up over the bed of the RU to accommodate the Shaper. Benchtop courtesy of Axminster, leg frame from the scrap wood pile. It's only over the last 4 feet of the bed so it still leaves over ten feet to play with...should be enough!!
Graham Brooks has been busy and sent us over some photos of a lovely natural edge bowl and a box with a threaded lid...hand chased of course.
Kevin Purdy has been off to learn a bit about Powertex from Kevin McAlister...very nice!
Len Shield sent over some photos of his recent work made from some really highly figured Cherry.
Pat Carroll has been off rusting more bits of wood. A very nice hollow form with carving and lots of rust.
Patrick Lindsay sent over a series of photos to show us his working process when making a one of his pieces. Always interesting to see how others do this. We also got some photos of the latest blooms in the greenhouse.
Phil Irons showed us his latest gear knob creations plus some of the results he gets when turning wet Eucalyptus...can't wait to see that bowl of Arun's then!
As always we had several contributions from others so, if you showed something, then please do send over some photos you can do it from your mobile phone.... it's not that hard, just ask a teenager for help!!
