Lots of very beautiful work on show this week plus an overdue DIY project has been started...lets see how that works out! We also had some fencing ....but not the wooden kind. Read on form more details.
Burnsy sent over some photos of his current project...a somewhat dilapidated garden shed in need of a bit of TLC and a new roof. Updates to follow.
Gary Lowe sent over some photos of a recent project. A hollow form with a turned Aluminium base and lid, the metal work was turned with hand tools on the woodturning lathe...a big tip was to use a cutting compound to help with the cutting.
Jim Briggs sent over an image of himself at a dinner party for tall people...Jim is not exactly what you'd call short. The young man next to him is well over 7 (yes seven) feet tall...where does he shop for clothes??
Len Shield has been busy and sent us over some photos of a couple of pieces: a bowl with some added colour and a lidded box in Cherry. Lovely work as always!
Martin Stacey has added working lights to his latest model...a delivery truck. The truck is, of course delivering more goodies to the Axminster shop....more things to buy from Helen...no pressure Kevin!!
Phil Irons sent over some photos of his latest gear knobs..that Laser has really come in handy then!! We also got a couple of stills showing Richard Dickson competing in a commonwealth fencing competition...expecting a medal at the next one Richard!!
Richard Dickson has been off on holiday and taking part in a fencing competitions but still managed to hand in some homework (he's coming prepared these days) and gave us some shots from his holiday plus a rather lovely bowl made for a young lady who only eats from wooden bowls/plates.
Robert Lyons sent over some photos of some rather lovely lidded bowls with milk paint finish. The lids also have some inlay details with glitter/resin set into them. Very nice indeed.
As always we had several contributions from others so, if you showed something, then please do send over some photos you can do it from your mobile phone.... it's not that hard, just ask a teenager for help!!
DON'T FORGET: YOU SHOULD SEND OVER YOUR PHOTOS FOR MONDAY EVENING RIGHT AWAY FOLKS!!
Don't forget you can find the previous Monday Session Reports on the website just click here. You can also look at the images for each week by clicking here and look at the images for each contributor by clicking here.
