Looks like the call of the workshop is strong now that Summer is moving to Autumn....lots of work being done on a variety of projects. Read on for more details...
Arun sent over some photos of the work he is busy with ....on top of his weekly commute to and from college. The Eucalyptus is being turned but seems not to be moving so much as it has for others...plenty of time yet!
Burnsy is carrying on with the shed renovation. The shed may collapse under the weight of the new roof...some reinforcement is needed so off to the timber merchants to get some timber to brace things up a bit....Oh and there is that double glazed panel which needs a home...this is turning into a bit of a saga!
Kevin Purdy sent over some images of a piece turned for a club competition with the subject of "A timepiece". This certainly fits the bill and, as usual, it is a fantastic piece of work.
Len Shield has been out in the workshop and doing a bit of turning. As always Len has produced some lovely pieces.
Martin Dickinson has joined the growing ranks of Electric Vehicle drivers with his MG 5 Estate. Martin is delighted with the car but even happier with the amount it's saving him on fuel bills!
Pat Carroll sent over a short video of his latest piece of workshop equipment. It looks like Pat has joined the high tech revolution!! An XTool D1 laser cutter/engraver ....looks like we are going to be seeing a lot more of this one!!
Patrick Lindsay sent us over some photos of the latest beauties flowering in his greenhouses. We also got a close up on how Patrick handles work holding in his process...very interesting to see how it's done!
Richard Dickson sent over some photos of a somewhat problematic piece of Walnut along with an enquiry for everyone. The piece had proven difficult to finish without tear out...lots of suggestions.
As always we had several contributions from others so, if you showed something, then please do send over some photos you can do it from your mobile phone.... it's not that hard, just ask a teenager for help!!
DON'T FORGET: YOU SHOULD SEND OVER YOUR PHOTOS FOR MONDAY EVENING RIGHT AWAY FOLKS!!
Don't forget you can find the previous Monday Session Reports on the website just click here. You can also look at the images for each week by clicking here and look at the images for each contributor by clicking here.
Once again thanks to all of you for making these evenings such a success, if nobody contributed then none of these evenings could happen. Keep on making and, most important of all, keep on sharing!
