Experiments with Gold Leaf, writing implements, piercing, mens toilets, Orchids....thank goodness for our new starter Mick who brought along some woodturning. Oh and in case you didn't realise it's getting on to Christmas....

Arun Radysh Haasis: WoodturningArun Radysh Haasis sent over some images of a piece of work inspired by pine cones and seeds that he'd been collecting. Arun has also been trying out gold leaf for the first time...and it's turned out rather nicely!

Burnsy: WoodturningBurnsy sent over some images of a new workshop tool....a mechanical pencil. Having worked with the Shaper Origin for a while things weren't quite lining up satisfactorily...then someone pointed out that you can't use 3mm thick lines with a tool accurate to 0.1 of a mm and expect accurate results....a real Homer Simpson moment and a slap to the forehead was followed by the purchase of a more accurate marking tool.... a Uni Kuru Toga...a lot of tech in a pencil !!

Graham Brooks: WoodturningGraham Brooks sent over some images of a some new work. The first is a thin walled bowl with some piercing and some colour added in the form of some lovely autumnal maple leaves. The second is a bowl within a bowl, as always very nice work on both!

Helen Bailey: WoodturningHelen Bailey sent over some images from her recent trip to Ireland, including one which mysteriously appeared of the gents toilet at the Carpentry Store featuring a poster of Helen...fame at last then !!

Len Shield: WoodturningLen Shield sent over some photos of a little more Christmas turning in the form of a Robin he had turned and set up on a log with cotton wool snow. Clearly I'm going to need my Grinch background again this year then...

Mick Johns: WoodturningMick Johns is relatively new to the Monday evening mayhem, for some reason he came back after the first one ! Mick sent over some photos of some really lovely work including a hollow form, a bandstand clock and a rather nice multi axis piece. Welcome to the party Mick!

Patrick Lindsay: WoodturningPatrick Lindsay has been busy as always and sent over some photos of some goblet sets and a Laburnum natural edge piece in the making. Of course no Monday evening would be complete without flowers so we got some photos of a really lovely orchid with vivid yellow blooms...stunning!

Richard Dickson: WoodturningRichard Dickson has taken an idea from Kevin Purdy to make a tool for bending Willow for a basket maker....a number of comments were made which can not be repeated but I can answer one question: "No it doesn't use batteries".

As always we had several contributions from others so, if you showed something, then please do send over some photos you can do it from your mobile phone.... it's not that hard, just ask a teenager for help!!

DON'T FORGET: YOU SHOULD SEND OVER YOUR PHOTOS FOR MONDAY EVENING RIGHT AWAY FOLKS!!

Don't forget you can find the previous Monday Session Reports on the website just click here. You can also look at the images for each week by clicking here and look at the images for each contributor by clicking here.

Once again thanks to all of you for making these evenings such a success, if nobody contributed then none of these evenings could happen. Keep on making and, most important of all,  keep on sharing!
