Another experiment this week...this time a laser engraving experiment that didn't quite go according to plan. We also had more Christmas production work, photos from Harrogate show, a hollow form made without bending the tools and, of course, orchids!
Pat Carroll sent over some photos of his stint at Harrogate show. Pat was demonstrating for the whole event and it all seems to have gone very well...lots of old friends and quite a few new ones.
Phil Irons has been using the Laser engraver again, this time for signing pieces. However this experiment didn't go quite to plan as you can see. High laser power and bowls with a thin base are not best friends...welcome to the sieve club!!
Patrick Lindsay has been busy as always and sent over some photos of some pieces made from some teak he was given. Of course no week would be complete without some orchids and we had an absolute smasher this week!!
Richard Dickson has been making more Christmas items but has also managed to produce this rather lovely Monkey Puzzle hollow form. Oddly enough it was produced without bending any tool handles...perhaps some tuition might be in order??
As always we had several contributions from others so, if you showed something, then please do send over some photos you can do it from your mobile phone.... it's not that hard, just ask a teenager for help!!
DON'T FORGET: YOU SHOULD SEND OVER YOUR PHOTOS FOR MONDAY EVENING RIGHT AWAY FOLKS!!
Don't forget you can find the previous Monday Session Reports on the website just click here. You can also look at the images for each week by clicking here and look at the images for each contributor by clicking here.
Once again thanks to all of you for making these evenings such a success, if nobody contributed then none of these evenings could happen. Keep on making and, most important of all, keep on sharing!
