It's almost here !! Christmas gift production is now at fever pitch: angels, snowmen, gonks and many other items are rolling out of sheds and workshops. We still managed to find time to discuss some other turning and woodworking related issues though, and (of course) there are the orchids which were supplemented by Christmas Cacti this week...very seasonal!
Burnsy sent over some photos of a pre-Christmas arrival. A set of collets for the Shaper Origin CNC to allow use of a wider range of cutters..the current project in hand is calling for some pretty small cutters and those simply were not possible using the standard collet.
Graham Brooks sent over some photos of some emerging bowls, natural edge bowls and a bowl within a bowl. We also got a look at Grahams entry to the Richard Findley skew challenge...amazing what you can use a tin opener for!!
Patrick Lindsay continues to amaze us with his orchids and of course he still finds the time (and energy) to turn some really lovely pieces...
Phil Irons has been out and about and has his eye on a rather nice Yew burr...problem is that it's attached to a tree in the local churchyard. Still .... where there's a will, there's a way right ???
As always we had several contributions from others so, if you showed something, then please do send over some photos you can do it from your mobile phone.... it's not that hard, just ask a teenager for help!!
DON'T FORGET: YOU SHOULD SEND OVER YOUR PHOTOS FOR MONDAY EVENING RIGHT AWAY FOLKS!!
Don't forget you can find the previous Monday Session Reports on the website just click here. You can also look at the images for each week by clicking here and look at the images for each contributor by clicking here.
Once again thanks to all of you for making these evenings such a success, if nobody contributed then none of these evenings could happen. Keep on making and, most important of all, keep on sharing!
