Well, everyone seems to have recovered from the festive season and we are starting to see some of the new toys on display as well as seeing the return of a few old toys...
Andrew Hall sent us over some photos of his restoration of a free standing tool rest...and the return of an old freiend to the workshop in the shape of his WivaMac...which I'm sure many of us will be familiar with. Nice to see the big boys toys coming back out!
Arun sent over some photos of a natural edge piece he's made, turned from windthrown timber with plenty of inclusions and other features. Another spectacular piece of turning!
Gary Lowe sent over some photos of a book which features the work of himself and a couple of regulars...what a talented bunch!
Helen Bailey has been out and bought a shiny new Tormek sharpening system from a well known tool retailer...apparently the sales person wouldn't let her out of the store until she'd bought it...Kevin Purdy knows how that feels!!
Len Shield has been busy as always...we have some really lovely fruit from spalted timber..very nice indeed.
John Walker sent over a photo of a toadstool he's been making, can't wait to see that painting session from Olive though.....no pressure though!!
Ken Bryden sent over some photos of a spinning wheel recently completed, the project was started by another club member who was unable to complete it. Ken's next task is, of course, to show us all how to spin wool into yarn...I can hardly wait !!!
Richard Dickson seems to be developing a bit of a complex about being singled out when we are looking for contributors so this week he went on the offensive and sent over a whole load of images. Very nice (apart from the fat bloke with the chainsaw), however that means we'll be expecting the same or more next week....not sure that was the effect he was looking for!
As always we had several contributions from others so, if you showed something, then please do send over some photos you can do it from your mobile phone.... it's not that hard, just ask a teenager for help!!
DON'T FORGET: YOU SHOULD SEND OVER YOUR PHOTOS FOR MONDAY EVENING RIGHT AWAY FOLKS!!
Don't forget you can find the previous Monday Session Reports on the website just click here. You can also look at the images for each week by clicking here and look at the images for each contributor by clicking here.
Once again thanks to all of you for making these evenings such a success, if nobody contributed then none of these evenings could happen. Keep on making and, most important of all, keep on sharing!
