A very busy Monday evening, no charcoal this time (well not as much anyway) but lots of turning and of course one or two diversions "off topic" as always.

Gary Lowe: WoodturningGary Lowe had a visitor to his workshop! Arun paid a visit to Gary and (unlike his trip here) he managed to get some turning done ! Of course with Gary leading things we have lots of colour and texture. Gary also managed to make a burr elm hollow form...very nice!!

John Brown: WoodturningJohn Brown sent over some photos of a couple of pieces, one in Holly and the other in Lime - a burr Lime piece with added labrador...see if you can spot it?

Kevin Purdy: WoodturningKevin Purdy sent over some photos of a bowl he had made. The exterior has been finished with an egg tempera paint, for those of you interested in this ancient technique you can find out a bit more here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tempera

Len Shield: WoodturningLen Shield sent in a couple of photos of Walter the dog...not only does this dog win prizes it also visits hospital to help children who are ill.

Margaret Garrard: WoodturningMargaret Garrard went on a trip to a club near London and on her visit stayed at a hotel with a difference. The hotel formed part of what was once an airport servicing London. Lots of memorabilia and even a plane in the car park!!

Paul Howard: WoodturningPaul Howard sent over some photos of a trip made to Austria some time ago with Simon Hope. As you can see they seem to have some rather large scale turners in Germany...overseas travel may be required!!

Richard Dickson: WoodturningRichard Dickson sent over some photos of a commission piece. A funeral urn for Richards late Father in Law, made in Ash with a threaded lid. Lovely piece of work!

As always we had several contributions from others so, if you showed something, then please do send over some photos you can do it from your mobile phone.... it's not that hard, just ask a teenager for help!!

DON'T FORGET: YOU SHOULD SEND OVER YOUR PHOTOS FOR MONDAY EVENING RIGHT AWAY FOLKS!!

Don't forget you can find the previous Monday Session Reports on the website just click here. You can also look at the images for each week by clicking here and look at the images for each contributor by clicking here.

Once again thanks to all of you for making these evenings such a success, if nobody contributed then none of these evenings could happen. Keep on making and, most important of all,  keep on sharing!
