Well, it seems we are all moving around a lot more now ....lots of overdue visits and in-person events/demonstrations (remember those??). The warmer weather also seems to be encouraging a return to the workshop. It all adds up to another busy Monday evening!
Allan Joicey showed us a Hawthorn form which had a problematic bark inclusion. Allan engineered a solution to the problem with some wooden nuts and bolts, an ingenious solution and a really interesting result.
Andrew Hall sent over some photos from a visit he had recently. Ms Helen Bailey and Mr Pat Carroll paid a visit to Hallberg studios to say hello to Indy and Bailey, they event had time to say hello to Andrew and Janet.
Arun Radysh Haasis sent over some photos of things he had been working on since his return from Gary Lowe's workshop plus some photos of a large amount of burr Elm which is lying roadside somewhere (I have the grid reference from the photo). As always some really lovely work on display.
Burnsy sent in some photos of some prints from log ends made on a short course, plus some shots of pewa or butterfly patch templates purchased from Amazon.
Kevin Purdy sent over some photos of a box made from a Lignum Vitae bowling ball, really nice shape.
Len Shield sent over some photos of Walter the dog hard at work visiting children in hospital. Well done Walter!!
Pat Carroll sent over some photos from his recent stint at Makers Central where he was demonstrating the Foredom range of tools...Pat was also seen around the House of Resin stand and the carbide tools over at Easy Wood Tools....I can't wait for his resin demo at next years Meet the Woodturner Live.
Patrick Lindsay sent over some photos of some recent work he has been doing on the lathe plus of course the latest blooms from the Greenhouse.
As always we had several contributions from others so, if you showed something, then please do send over some photos you can do it from your mobile phone.... it's not that hard, just ask a teenager for help!!
DON'T FORGET: YOU SHOULD SEND OVER YOUR PHOTOS FOR MONDAY EVENING RIGHT AWAY FOLKS!!
Don't forget you can find the previous Monday Session Reports on the website just click here. You can also look at the images for each week by clicking here and look at the images for each contributor by clicking here.
