Well it was another hectic Monday evening, visits to castles, woodturning and a remote interactive demonstration of laser engraving...how do we fit it all in !!!
Arun Radysh Haasis has been out on a visit to Crathes Castle, the home of Grampian Woodturners and done a bit of turning whilst there. Arun also showed us some turning he had been commissioned to do for a staircase renovation. Arun also showed us a very small bowl and hollow form he had made on a very large lathe.
Burnsy sent over some images of recent work including a Quaich intended as a prize for sportsmanship at a local school and a piece inspired by the work of Australian turner Andrew Daniels.
Pat Carroll sent over an image of a recent hollow form which has been pyro carved/pierced with lots of circles.
Phil Irons sent over a few photos of some recent work done using his new Laser Engraver which he demonstrated for us in the session.
As always we had several contributions from others so, if you showed something, then please do send over some photos you can do it from your mobile phone.... it's not that hard, just ask a teenager for help!!
