This week we had more camping updates, alternative photographic printing techniques, gold panning, laser etching....we even managed to fit in some woodturning including a first place at the Great Yorkshire Show. Read on for more information....
Andrew Hall has had Bailey to the vets to get his birthday present and we have some photos showing Bailey with his cone on. The cone was later adjusted as Bailey was a using it to redecorate the house.
Arun Radysh Haasis has been off on a camping trip to do some gold panning and it looks like it was a profitable trip! Arun also found time to make a frame for the block and tackle he got from John Brown. You can see he put it straight to work to raise a small piece of Ash up to the lathe...looking forward to seeing that one turned!
Burnsy sent over some images of the prints made from the ends of logs plus some new experiments with an early alternative printing process called Cyanotypes....more to follow!
Gary Lowe sent over some images of a new piece of work. A shield with carving, texture, pyrography and (of course) a little bit of colour. Fabulous work!
Graham Brooks entered a piece of his work in the Great Yorkshire Show and came away with a nice red rosette and card for first place!! Well done Graham.
Jim Briggs provided us with an entertaining image to go with the other pet images we had this week.
Phil Irons has been using the Laser to experiment with creating inlaid images on the tops of some of his urns. Very nice indeed.
As always we had several contributions from others so, if you showed something, then please do send over some photos you can do it from your mobile phone.... it's not that hard, just ask a teenager for help!!
DON'T FORGET: YOU SHOULD SEND OVER YOUR PHOTOS FOR MONDAY EVENING RIGHT AWAY FOLKS!!
Don't forget you can find the previous Monday Session Reports on the website just click here. You can also look at the images for each week by clicking here and look at the images for each contributor by clicking here.
Once again thanks to all of you for making these evenings such a success, if nobody contributed then none of these evenings could happen. Keep on making and, most important of all, keep on sharing!
