A fresh batch of images this week, some of them were a trip down memory lane but we had plenty of new and very beautiful work on show from members of the group. Read on for more:
Andrew Hall sent in some photos of work including a modified wooden plane and one of his early Corinthian helmets. We also got a few images of the last Newark show prior to lock down. Andrew was busy preparing to attend the next one and we can look forward to a full report.
Gary Lowe sent over some photos of a hollow form recently completed and now headed off for a gallery. Spot the face ??
Graham Brooks has been out and about, he managed to grab a few photos of these lovely trees (monkey puzzle of course) whilst he was out. Apparently the garden has some natural regrowth happening so they should have a growing collection of specimens ... which of course means a steady supply of blanks !
Martin Stacey sent over some photos of a couple of pieces. An off centre turned goblet and a tiny teapot. The teapot has a wire handle and a body made from a piece of Milliput..made using the appropriate PPE!
Richard Dickson has given in to temptation and we can see the results...a Simon Hope threading jig! Now we can look forward to seeing lots of threaded lids on those hollow forms! Just think of all the photos we can look forward to seeing....see what I did there Richard??
Phil Irons sent over some photos of a wooden heart with some infill. The infill is done with a low melt solder which is melted into the voids in the burr, very effective technique!
As always we had several contributions from others so, if you showed something, then please do send over some photos you can do it from your mobile phone.... it's not that hard, just ask a teenager for help!!
DON'T FORGET: YOU SHOULD SEND OVER YOUR PHOTOS FOR MONDAY EVENING RIGHT AWAY FOLKS!!
Don't forget you can find the previous Monday Session Reports on the website just click here. You can also look at the images for each week by clicking here and look at the images for each contributor by clicking here.
Once again thanks to all of you for making these evenings such a success, if nobody contributed then none of these evenings could happen. Keep on making and, most important of all, keep on sharing!
