A packed evening with work and other projects on show including a very nice new acquisition which will keep Richard Dickson busy for a good long while. Read on for more details.
Andrew Hall sent over some photos of a job he has just completed for a friend with a very young Labradoodle. The puppy appears to enjoy the taste of turned wood and Andrew was asked to replace a slightly mauled item of furniture....lets hope it grows out of that habit. Andrew also sent over photos and video of his newly acquired Coronet Herald lathe plus the work to incorporate it into his recording set up.
Arun sent through some photos of his restoration project in progress. It's a Viceroy bowl turning lathe which is being given an overhaul including new spindle bearings and a variable speed drive. Looks like a lovely addition to the workshop.
Gary Lowe sent in some photos of a pair of spalted hollow forms which are undergoing transformation with carving and texture being added. Gary also shared some photos of the suspended hollow forms he has been making recently. Great work as always.
Burnsy sent over some photos of his next project(s), looks like a build series coming on. He also pointed out that it is even easier to send in photos and video now...see what I did there?? Send in as many as you like folks!!
Len Shield sent over some photos of a couple of projects including the obligatory Easter bunny project. Great fun!
Martin Dickinson sent over some photos of a haul of goodies including a Woodrat router jig, a scrollsaw and a DeWalt radial arm saw he had picked up on a recent trip...seems like a good haul!!
Patrick Lindsay sent over some photos of a couple of natural edge bowls he had been working on plus a wonderful splash of colour in the shape of some of the Orchids he currently has in bloom.
Phil Irons sent over a few photos one of them is a lathe from the late 1800's, apparently bought new when he was a child....or at least that was what someone said.
Richard Dickson sent over a few photos of some recent pieces including a clock and a candle stick. Richard also sent over some photos of a very nice recent acquisition - a Triumph TR6 ! It would seem that Richard is going to be a very busy person as he hasn't just got a car...he's also got a hobby!! Looking forward to the photos and videos on this one!!
