A packed evening with cookery, cars (noisy ones) and a whole load of other fun stuff on display. We even managed to squeeze in some woodturning...whatever next. Read on for more....
Andrew Hall sent over some photos of the installation of a very large screen at the venue of Wear Valley Woodturners. The club received a grant and is investing the money in new equipment to allow members to see and hear the demonstrations clearly.
Graham Brooks sent through some photos of an offset bowl which he has decorated with some of the colour change powder finish. The colour change is really quite strong, a really lovely piece !
Kevin Purdy sent in some photos of a pair of spalted hollow forms which are undergoing transformation with carving and texture being added. Gary also shared some photos of the suspended hollow forms he has been making recently. Great work as always.
Len Shield sent over some photos of a recent project involving the whole family. A really lovely outdoor display set up for kids using the Alice in Wonderland theme - fantastic work by all concerned.
Martin Stacey sent over some photos of a couple of projects, a small hollow form and a goblet with a captive ring. Great work as always!
Patrick Lindsay sent over some photos of his home made extraction system, Patrick uses this to help get rid of dust when sanding some of his large work, he made it by re-using a fan from his greenhouse which was no longer needed.
Phil Irons sent over a few photos from his recent trip to Rick Stein's cookery school in Padstow. Apparently he can now boil a kettle....whatever next we wonder!
