Well, another packed evening! Cars seem to be a definite theme at the moment, along with woodturning, a range of other projects .... and of course no evening would be complete without an orchid ! Read on for more.
Gary Lowe sent over some photos of the two hollow forms he had been working on last time which are now completed. Texture and colour have been added to complete the work and the results speak for themselves. A couple of stunners !
Graham Brooks sent through some photos of a pair of boxes, one of these is headed off to the auction of pieces to help fund the emerging turners event. Lovely work as always.
John Brown sent over some photos and a video (See Below) showing a burr he had been working on which had suffered some sort of insect attack. John was struggling to get the piece completed so we will have to wait and see what comes out in the end...stay tuned folks!!
Kevin Purdy sent in some photos of an Ash box in the form of an Easter Egg. The inside is finished with some of the chameleon effect paint. As always, very nice indeed.
Margaret Garrard sent over some photos of one of her visits to the race track to watch the saloon car racing. Margaret has a particular fondness for Aston Martin's ! We also caught a glimpse of Margaret with her treasured MG from a couple of years ago.
Martin Stacey followed up on the car theme with photos of a couple of Austin Seven's he had spotted recently. Martin has also rediscovered a compressor and airbrush kit...looking forward to seeing the results from that one!! We also got some video from a recent demonstration Martin had attended showing Martin Saban Smith at the lathe working on a coloured piece.
Mike Wilson sent over a photo of the large Easter Eggs he had made in use by the National Trust. We also got some photos of a couple of cars belonging to a family member, one of which was rescued and imported back to the UK from Japan.
Patrick Lindsay sent over some photos of his grand daughters paintings - very talented young lady (the jeans are supposed to look like that Patrick...it's trendy). Patrick also sent over an Orchid that he has currently in bloom.
Phil Irons sent over a few photos from a recent car club meeting (it's a good job he didn't have to pay to print this lot!!). We also got some views of a recent customised gear knob he has produced for a customer. Nice work.
Richard Dickson sent over a few photos of a completed funeral urn. The piece is now totally finished and has been delivered..not without a few tears being shed. Lovely piece of work.
