Well, the weather appears to have broken - at least for some of us. This week we had dogs made from logs (along with some horrendous puns), more laser adventures, cubes within cubes, hollow forms, broken lawnmowers and of course Orchids....read on for more.
Andrew Hall went for a holiday up to Kintyre, staying next door to our friend Richard Kennedy. Andrew managed to squeeze in a little project...not too sure if this is a Log Russell Terrier, a Logrador or a Logadoodle...It perhaps looks a little ruff but Andrew was certain that it's bark is worse than it's bite....as you can tell the jokes sunk to a new low with this one !!
Burnsy is continuing on with the laser adventures, not actually setting things on fire seems to be sorted out now and there are some products coming out of the workshop, quite a few lampshades and a range of other things...great fun!
John Brown sent over a couple of videos. One showing a rather clever candle holder and the second one showing a first attempt at a cube in a cube. John gave us a brief run down on the method he used but after a little discussion it was agreed (after a fashion) that John would (with the help of a camera assistant - Brian) look at sending over a more detailed photographic record of how he makes it....looking forward to that one !!!
Patrick Lindsay sent over some photos of a natural edge piece he is working on plus the latest Orchids in bloom...some absolute stunners as always!
Phil Irons sent over some images from his photo session using a new background, some lovely pieces as always! We also got a short video from Phil showing the gallery space he exhibits in - see videos below.
Richard Dickson sent over some images of an ancient lawnmower he is trying (without success) to get working again and asked for some pointers...plenty of advice given on this one. We also got a look at a hollow form Richard had made, coloured and applied gilding to....very nice work as always!
Video Clips from this week
As always we had several contributions from others so, if you showed something, then please do send over some photos you can do it from your mobile phone.... it's not that hard, just ask a teenager for help!!
DON'T FORGET: YOU SHOULD SEND OVER YOUR PHOTOS/VIDEOS FOR MONDAY EVENING RIGHT AWAY FOLKS!!
Don't forget you can find the previous Monday Session Reports on the website just click here. You can also look at the images for each week by clicking here and look at the images for each contributor by clicking here.
Once again thanks to all of you for making these evenings such a success, if nobody contributed then none of these evenings could happen. Keep on making and, most important of all, keep on sharing!
