Another interesting week, some really nice work on show and some interesting ideas for future pieces discussed. We also had wooden cranes and the recently repaired set of chuck jaws have once again been involuntarily dissassembled. Read on for more...
Gary Lowe sent over some photos of a couple of recent pieces including a rather lovely coloured and textured shield style piece which really did get a lot of attention! As always some really great work, thanks for sending over the photos. We're all sure that one won't hang around in the gallery too long !!
Martin Stacey sent over some photos, firstly we got a look at a segmented piece that Martin is working on and we also got a view of a recent club demonstration done by another Monday regular Kevin Purdy. Lovely work from both !
Mike Wilson has followed up his photo from his recent trip to the IWG with some photos from an earlier trip where the challenge set for the clubs was to make a crane...and it looks like they certainly did respond to the challenge. Some very skilled work on show from all concerned.
Paul Howard sent over a photo of an illustration of an eclipse he had seen, it shows the stages of the eclipse as it progresses...a bit of a laser cutter challenge in progress then....
Phil Irons sent over some photos of the damaged chuck jaws which he repaired ....and then involuntarily dissassembled again (in other words he blew them up). This time however he seemed to make a much better job of the dissassembly...replacements needed. We also got some photos from the Irons archives of a workshop in Germany from one or two years ago...he even had hair!!!
As always we had several contributions from others so, if you showed something, then please do send over some photos you can do it from your mobile phone.... it's not that hard, just ask a teenager for help!!
DON'T FORGET: YOU SHOULD SEND OVER YOUR PHOTOS/VIDEOS FOR MONDAY EVENING RIGHT AWAY FOLKS!!
Don't forget you can find the previous Monday Session Reports on the website just click here. You can also look at the images for each week by clicking here and look at the images for each contributor by clicking here.
Once again thanks to all of you for making these evenings such a success, if nobody contributed then none of these evenings could happen. Keep on making and, most important of all, keep on sharing!
