Lots and lots of discussion on a whole range of things and some very nice work on show, plus a site visit by some of our group to see a ridiculously large lathe. Read on for more !!
Burnsy had a visit from a tall Australian chap at the end of the week along with his two dogs...the dogs are staying on holiday in Scotland whilst our Australian friend is off on a trip to Mongolia...the photos from that should be good, The larger of the two dogs apparently doesn't much like the cold and hates the rain...this should be interesting then.
Graham Brooks sent over some photographs of a splendid Windsor chair he had made when attending a course recently. It looks great and the course was certainly worthwhile based on the result !!
John Brown sent in a photo of a recent piece made from an Elm Burr provided by Brian Conchie, we also go a video showing the finished piece - well done John !! Perhaps we'll see something from Brian next time....see what I did there Brian ???
Richard Dickson sent in some photos of a timber collection session with Phil to harvest an Ash tree that had come down locally - including a video of the action. Richard had also been up to a sporting event in Edinburgh and called in on the way home to visit with Burnsy and Phil...he didn't volunteer to help move the RU though...funny thing that. Apparently the sporting event had not turned out as planned....enough said !!
