Another week of busy people, electric bikes, 3d printing, orchids, hand printing, classic car electrics...we even managed to squeeze in some woodturning...whatever next !! Read on for more...
Andrew Hall sent in some photos of his latest acquisition...an electric bike. This is going to make those bike rides with Bob a little more evenly matched !!
Burnsy sent in a photo of a mystery object which had literally just been completed on the 3d printer....no clues given as to what it is. Lots of incorrect guesses though...more next week!!
Gary Lowe has been out in the workshop producing some lovely new work with lots of texture and colour as always !
Kevin Purdy sent in some photos of a some pieces he had made for some friends. Really delicate altar crosses made in oak, some really fine spindle work on show here!
Mike Wilson sent in some photos of a piece recently made for a club competition which was to make a pair of items....so Mike made this entry...apparently the joke was not appreciated!
Patrick Lindsay sent over photographs of work currently on the lathe and recently completed, good to see that Patricks recent hand injury isn't getting in the way! We also got a look at two really unusual looking orchids...very nice indeed.
Phil Irons sent over an image of a tool he had turned for use when doing wood grain prints, it's a Baren and is rubbed on the back of the paper to ensure good contact with the printing surface. The dark timber on this one is an Australian wood called Gidgee which is pretty tough stuff, click here for more info on this timber.
Richard Dickson sent over some photos of an electrical upgrade to his TR6, he's heading off on the NC500 shortly and realised that he didn't have any way to charge those utterly essential electronic gadgets in the car so he fitted the required charging points. Richard has been granted an extension on his other homework and has promised lots of photos from his trip on the NC500.
