After a short break things got back to normal, or what passes for normal on Monday evenings ! We had a wide variety of topics being discussed from the Inner and Outer Hebrides, plant species, lighthouses, wood species, gilding, orchids .....we even managed to squeeze in some woodturning !! Read on for more...
Arun sent in some photos of a trophy made for a prize winner - guess what the prize relates to !! Arun has also turned his hand to a bit of furniture making in the shape of a coffee table made from a rather lovely piece of Sycamore. Well done !
Burnsy returned from the Hebrides with some photos including a rather unusual piece of fencing which had been improvised from some beach finds...
Gary Lowe sent over some photos of work recently completed which includes some textured and coloured pieces that are headed for a local gallery and then the lucky person who buys them - very nice indeed.
Mike Wilson sent over some photos of pieces completed whilst on a course with Phil Irons and some work completed since his return. Seems like we will be seeing some more metal leaf decoration from Mike in future then !!
Phil Irons sent in a few photos of a commission piece he is currently working on - a heart shaped urn. It's a single piece and this one has been an interesting challenge !!
