Another busy week in the workshops, the great summer weather (rain again!!) seems to be keeping a lot of us in the workshop and we had lots of work on show and in progress...of course we also had Orchids !! Read on for more...

Arun Radysh Haasis: WoodturningArun has been out doing a little groundwork to put in an electrical supply to an outbuilding and add some flood protection to his studio. He also managed to find some time to turn just a "small" piece of Ash from a tree that came down due to Ash die back....we also got a video showing some of the turning of the piece....not actually quite so small !!

Burnsy: WoodturningBurnsy has been out finishing off some other projects. The newly printed tenon cutter has been in action to make some legs for a pair of stools, a few teething problems were resolved and the tenon cutter performed quite well. The tops are next - another 3d printed tool will be used for those, more next time !!

Gary Lowe: WoodturningGary Lowe sent over some photos of a few pieces completed recently. A couple of boxes were shown and a rather lovely carved and textured hollow form with a really nice organic shape. Very nice indeed !!

Kevin Purdy: WoodturningKevin Purdy sent over some photos of a couple of pyrography pieces done during his recovery from surgery - very nice indeed. We also got a couple of photos from a recent visit to Beamish Museum.

Len Shield: WoodturningLen Shield showed a piece which was made for a very special customer !! A lovely yarn bowl, made with the usual cut away for the yarn but with a little extra weight left in the bottom to stop the bowl from tipping or moving too much. Very nice indeed !!

Patrick Lindsay: WoodturningPatrick Lindsay sent over some photos of some boxes recently completed, the boxes are in the shapes of apples and pears, very nice work as always. We also got a selection of blooms from the greenhouse to add a splash of colour to proceedings !!

DON'T FORGET: YOU SHOULD SEND OVER YOUR PHOTOS/VIDEOS FOR MONDAY EVENING RIGHT AWAY FOLKS!!

Don't forget you can find the previous Monday Session Reports on the website just click here. You can also look at the images for each week by clicking here and look at the images for each contributor by clicking here.
