Another busy week, the poor weather in the North does not seem to be putting people off too much. We had more 3d printed goings on, pointing and painting, orchids, dancing cars (see the video from Martin Stacey), flying trees, supersonic aircraft and we also managed to squeeze in some woodturning...well some of us did. Read on for more...

Andrew Hall: WoodturningAndrew Hall has been demonstrating and produced some more of his spun artwork, very colourful indeed!! Andrew has also been completing the renovations on the outside of the house...interior works are next up!!

Burnsy: WoodturningBurnsy responded to a request for a pass through puzzle featuring spheres...mission accomplished! A table lamp in Cherry was also on display, a walnut one is also being prepared and will appear in due course.

Kevin Purdy: WoodturningKevin Purdy is progressing with his recovery and managed a rather lovely lidded bowl and some rather curious little clockwork marching figures...judging from the response it would appear that quite a few of these will be emerging from a number of workshops in the not too distant future !!

Jim Briggs: WoodturningJim Briggs has been off on a jolly to visit an aviation museum, we got a look at a Blackbird and some other military aircraft...Jim left his signature on one of them....grand day out !!

Patrick Lindsay: WoodturningPatrick Lindsay has been busy as always and sent us over some photos of how he finishes off the bottom of a natural edge piece. Patrick uses some button jaws with home made buttons, these are made from cork and provide a secure but flexible workholding solution. An orchid also made its way into the pack, very nice.

Phil Irons: WoodturningPhil Irons went off for a day helping out a local tree surgeon take down a tree in the grounds of a local school/nursery. A crane was used to help dismantle the tree and of course Phil generously offered to remove some of the timber without charge...as you would, naturally....
