All sorts of work on show this week from antique bench restoration, garden renovation, furniture making, colour changing finishes to some actual woodturning plus feedback from artists/makers in other disciplines/media. What an incredibly busy lot we are. Read on for more:

Andrew Hall: WoodturningAndrew Hall sent over some photos of an old railway bench which had seen better days. The bench was stripped down and restored to it's former glory...should be good for another hundred years or so now !!

Arun Radysh Haasis: WoodturningArun has now finished his studies and rejoined us for our Monday evening session. We got a look at a table made from Sequoia which Arun had milled using an Alaskan style chainsaw mill. We also got a look at a collection of natural edge bowls which will make their way into local galleries.

Burnsy WoodturningBurnsy has been out having fun (apparently too much fun). A batch of Labrador stick heads was printed in two different colors, some mounts for sculptural pieces have been designed and printed and there has been some experimentation with Chameleon powder and flakes..combining the two seems to create quite an impact. The fun will continue regardless...

Martin Stacey: WoodturningMartin Stacey has completed the garden renovations and sent over a set of photos to show us the fruits of his laboours. Fantastic work! Now of course Martin is in demand elsewhere ....looks like Martin is going to be even busier !!

Mike Wilson: WoodturningMike Wilson sent over a photo of a pile of bowl blanks he had been preparing for a customer...though Mike did admit to feeling the passage of time and that perhaps batches of large platters could well be a thing of the past....You just need more Weetabix Mike!!

Phil Irons: WoodturningPhil Irons sent over a group of images showing some hollow forms he had been working on with pyrography tools whilst at an exhibition..the other artists had all expressed opinions as to how much pyrography to add. Interesting to get the perspective of artists working in different disciplines...
