A jam packed week, so much going on!! We had car adaptations for dogs, visiting wildlife, kinetic sculptures, world heritage sites, stick making, air show displays...surprisingly some of use even found the time to fit in some woodturning. Read on for more:

Andrew Hall: WoodturningAndrew Hall sent over one of his weekly "pupdates" showing a set of steps to allow for easy and safe access for Roman to the car as he's getting a little on the heavy side to be lifted in and out!!

Arun Radysh Haasis: WoodturningArun is continuing to work through the timber he has stored up with more burrs and other natural edge pieces emerging from the workshop, the stock pile of work seems to be growing nicely !!

Burnsy WoodturningBurnsy the kinetic sculpture was wall mounted in the workshop, not bad for a first effort but version two is already in production, the mechanism to power it has been adapted from one in a book published in 1868...more to follow. The spaniel heads for walking sticks are almost ready with a prototype being produced and despatched to Andrew for approval. A colour sample board was produced for the Chameleon colours from Emma and some notebook covers caused a bit of head scratching !!

Gary Lowe: WoodturningGary Lowe has made a companion piece in a similar style to the lovely piece we saw last time. This time the piece is a hollow form which has been turned off centre to give a sloped aperture...some very nice work here, very nice indeed!!

Julian Cleak: WoodturningJulian Cleak has been enjoying a break away for a couple of weeks, we got a look at a few photos from Cornwall including some of the Minack theatre and St Michaels Mount. Apparently the Pasties got lost in the post.....

Malcolm Ferguson: WoodturningMalcolm Ferguson sent over some photos of one of those "around to it" jobs. In this case a piece of horn which had been waiting for a good long while to be made into something has finally been made into a stick handle and mounted. Malcolm's son now has a new stick with a bit of family history to it!!

Martin Stacey: WoodturningMartin Stacey sent over some photos with an update on his three legged stool (looking good!!), a snapped bandsaw blade, a visit from a swan and a proud Dad moment with his daughter winning a Judo prize...very well done indeed!!

Mike Wilson: WoodturningMike Wilson sent over some photos of a recent commission for a few cake stands for a local coffee shop, some lovely figured pieces!! We also got a photo of Mike'sold Labrador.

Patrick Lindsay: WoodturningPatrick Lindsay sent over some photos of recent projects including a very nice bowl made as a gift for some lucky person. Despite the current challenges Patrick as always keeps on going, great stuff!!

Paul Howard: WoodturningPaul Howard sent over some photos of some owls he had turned for someone recently, very nice too. We also got a look at an improvised hot tub and a full length view of the Phil Irons handle straightening jig...also known as a hydraulic press...maybe it should have a nice laser cut sign on it Paul....once the sign is on then everyone will know what it is !!!

Phil Irons: WoodturningPhil Irons sent over a few images from a visit to a local airshow, including the Italian display team in action giving us a fairly large Italian flag...although according to Mr Dickson it is in fact a Hungarian flag...I guess it depends on your point of view....

Richard Dickson: WoodturningRichard Dickson sent over some photos of a bit of turning he had been doing. One was a bowl finished with a metallic wax and the other a bowl which didn't make it to completion...a reminder to us all that this stuff we do can be dangerous !! Thankfully Richard was not hurt but we do need to take care when doing what we do!!
