A little less Gardeners Question time this week as we returned to mostly wood related matters with puzzles galore, pin cushions, a rather lovely gift in wood, our regular Pupdate plus all the headlines from a local show. We also got up close and personal with Richard's ball joints.... Read on for more:
Andrew Hall set to work on the recently received Spaniel stick heads with the airbrush to create some really lovely pieces. We got our pupdate and Roman is progressing with his training but the big news was the prize winning performance at a local show...well done to both!!
Burnsy has been producing a few new puzzles which seemed to stump a few people. A rather lovely surprise arrived from Rick Dobney in the shape of a piece based on the Whitefriars glass vase known as the Drunken Bricklayer with a bit of added inspiration from Troika pottery work. It's an absolute stunner of a piece and has been added to the collection, many thanks to Rick!!
Kevin Purdy sent in a batch of photographs from Slaley Show where he was judging some of the classes including the Woodturning. Looks like some of the others present had cause to celebrate!! Well done to all that took part.
Len Shield sent over some photos of a pin cushion which he had made recently, as always very imaginative work from Len...with a little help of course!!
Phil Irons sent over a few images of a lidded bowl/box which had been made from an urn and some other odds and ends. Very nice pop of colour on the lid!!
Richard Dickson sent over some photos of a bit of an issue he'd come across on the TR6 (what, only one issue???) in the shape of a ball joint which was reluctant to separate. A number of suggestions were offered, though some were less helpful than others.....more next week.
Videos Submitted This Week
As always we had several contributions from others so, if you showed something, then please do send over some photos you can do it from your mobile phone.... it's not that hard, just ask a teenager for help!!
DON'T FORGET: YOU SHOULD SEND OVER YOUR PHOTOS/VIDEOS FOR MONDAY EVENING RIGHT AWAY FOLKS!!
