Lots of photos this week showing that lots of us are still getting out into the workshop despite the weather turning and Winter approaching. We had old and new pieces on show this week with Oak Burrs, Cherry vases, basketry and weaving, urns and a whole lot more....Read on for more:

Allan Joicey: WoodturningAllan Joicey sent over some photos of a number of pieces from his archive. An Oak burr which had been gifted by another turner which posed a number of technical challenges to get it to a finished piece. A Yew stump made into a vase and some very precious Kauri all the way from New Zealand which was made into a couple of projects.

burnsy: WoodturningBurnsy carried on with the Cherry turning projects producing a Moon Jar form which then had the neck turned away to leave more of a spherical shape, not the original intent but still an interesting piece with the figure from the branch union and the bark inclusion.

Gary Lowe: WoodturningGary Lowe sent in some photos of a piece featuring twigs and weaving with Jute and Sisal, apparently the weaving took longer than the turning, doubt that but it's a nice piece of work anyway!!

Patrick Lindsay: WoodturningPatrick Lindsay sent in some photos of his recent work and some pieces retrieved from a storage cupboard which had sprung a leak. As always Patrick is putting us all to shame with his work rate...well done!!

Phil Irons: WoodturningPhil Irons sent over some photos of a visit to collect some Oak from a local estate. We also got a look at some workin progress, a hollow form which had been fumed and a square edged bowl...very nice indeed.
