Andrew Hall sent in another Pupdate, this time we caught a glimpse of Roman's ongoing training as a retriever. Who knew that a paint roller had other uses in gundog training !!
Burnsy responded to a request from Gary for a little jig to help with marking out carved foot positions evenly. First version works, a revised version is in the development stages !!
Graham Brooks sent in some photos of some Christmas production work, some tea light holders made in Laburnum and some three cornered lidded bowls/boxes with some of the Chameleon colours to finish. Some lucky people with those gifts then !!
Kevin Purdy sent in some photos of a some new turnings including an apple shaped box (threaded) and a few photos of a recent trip to the Lake District with his brother...Kevin is the (of course) the better looking one.....
Len Shield sent in a some photos of the entries at the Brampton show, including the winning entry from Northumbrian Woodturners - well done to all who entered something!!
Malcolm Ferguson sent in a couple of photos from the Brampton show incuding the trophy handover to the winners.
Martin Stacey (never one to stand still) has been carrying on with the outdoor renovations with decking and a range of other upgrades - well done !! We also got a look at some earlier carvings and glass engraving...multi talented!!
Mike Wilson sent in a few photos from his trip to the Irish Guild symposium, as always a jolly good time was had by all with some really interesting demonstrations and some great work on show.
Neil Farnham is continuing to develop his hybrid approach, using CNC to create patterns and textures on blanks then turning them. Hope to see a lot more of this stuff as Neil pushes forward with it...exciting !!
Patrick Lindsay sent over some photos of his recent work including some really nice spalted Sycamore he has been fortunate enough to get hold of. Really nice pieces emerging from that timber !!
Steve Gordon sent in a few photos of recent pieces plus an ice cream cone that someone had dropped in the workshop...or was it???? Very nice piece of work on that one !!
