Another packed evening this week. We all manner of work on show and plenty of ideas for future projects being discussed and of course we had a Pupdate for Jim...though the little pup is now not so little!!  Read on for more:

Andrew Hall: WoodturningAndrew Hall  sent over a few photos of screenshots from the tracking software linked to Roman's collar, this shows the tracks of some of the recent outings. We also got a look at Roman sporting his new harness with Kevlar chest protection...very fetching!!

Burnsy: WoodturningBurnsy sent over yet more images of messing about with Chemicals and lights in the dark (well darkish) - the technical term is Cyanotypes. This time some decent paper was acquired, the purchase of which caused a sharp intake of breath!! A new developing technique was put into practice using white vinegar mixed with water in around a 50:50 proportion, the result was a noticeable increase in detail/tonal range across the print - perhaps best used for photographic prints rather than contact prints...??

Gary Lowe: WoodturningGary Lowe  sent in some photos of a very nice piece, this time an off centre winged bowl turned from a board that was salvaged from a packing crate. The piece features carving and texture, lovely work!!

Kevin Purdy: WoodturningKevin Purdy  sent over some photos of a trio of egg cups he had made...clearly getting a head start on the Easter projects with this one then!!

Len Shield: WoodturningLen Shield  sent over some photos of a pair of cruets in the shape of pigs. Lots of interest in these and it would seem likely that a number of these will be appearing from several workshops in the near future!!

Malcolm Ferguson: WoodturningMalcolm Ferguson  sent over a photo of a project he had completed recently for someone. It's a wig stand which had been finished in Hard Wax Oil as recommended by many last week. The finish had proven difficult to get right but in an unheated workshop at this time of year it's to be expected,  the results are very good indeed!!

Martin Stacey: WoodturningMartin Stacey  sent over a batch of photos showing his latest projects and work in progress. We got a look at some hollow forms with an easter theme, a drilling jig which was used to add legs to a hollow form. We also got a look at a shelving unit which is now being used to showcase some of Martin's past projects. Great work as always !!

Patrick Lindsay: WoodturningPatrick Lindsay  sent over some photos of work, both old and new. We got a look at some work in progress, though the recent cold snap is making this quite difficult in an unheated workshop. We also got a look at some boxes from Patricks collection of older work. Very nice indeed!!

Videos Submitted This Week

As always we had several contributions from others so, if you showed something, then please do send over some photos you can do it from your mobile phone.... it's not that hard, just ask a teenager for help!!

DON'T FORGET: YOU SHOULD SEND OVER YOUR PHOTOS/VIDEOS FOR MONDAY EVENING RIGHT AWAY FOLKS!!

Don't forget you can find the previous Monday Session Reports on the website just click here. You can also look at the images for each week by clicking here and look at the images for each contributor by clicking here.
