Right then, this week was busy! We have exhibition preparation underway (just a warning but you may not get a newsletter next week!), coffee spoons, hollow forms, Christmas decorations (never too early to start Jim), natural edge bowls, orchids and some unusual moths paying visits to some of us. Read on for more:

Burnsy: WoodturningBurnsy moved from the darkened room to full scale exhibition preparation, with finishing touches being added to a number of pieces to get them "match fit" for an upcoming exhibition. An elephant hawk moth decided to pay a visit and as the tourist season approaches some no parking stickers (suggested by Phil) are being acquired along with a new sign for the workshop....neither are suitable for minors so be warned !!

Gary Lowe: WoodturningGary Lowe has been busy again, this time we have some spoons for measuring out coffee, whilst some are straight forward we do (of course!!) have one which has colour and texture added. We also got a look at rather lovely little hollow form...splendid.

John Brown (Penn): WoodturningJohn Brown (Penn) sent over some more photos of his Christmas ornament production with some hanging decorations...good to get ahead of the rush. Surprisingly Jim remained quite silent....as we all know Jim loves Christmas.....

Kevin Purdy: WoodturningKevin Purdy  sent over some photos of a lovely hollow form on a pedestal. The form is based on something shown by Gary Lowe a few weeks ago, as such it does feature colour and texture. Lovely piece of work all round really, well done as usual!!

Patrick Lindsay: WoodturningPatrick Lindsay  has been getting out as usual putting us all to shame. The production of natural edge bowls continues at great pace with examples in Laburnum and other timbers on show. We also got a look at the latest Orchids in bloom...There's no stopping him !!!

Phil Irons: WoodturningPhil Irons  sent over a photo of his stand at the National Funeral Exhibition and seems to have had a very successful few days at the exhibition. We also got a couple of videos, one of the stand at the exhibition and the other of a Hummingbird moth spotted in the garden.
