Well, we had some sad news this evening with Andrew reporting the loss of Indy. We got a look at some other things including a workshop re-organisation, some clay pigeon shooting and at least two of our number managed a bit of woodturning !! Read on for more:
Andrew Hall had some sad news to report with the loss of Indy. Roman is now flying solo and seems to be finding his feet though he is still just a young dog. Andrew also showed us a couple of his "mushroom logs" turned for a neighbour.
Burnsy took the time to re-organise the workshop a bit (utter chaos!!!) so that a new arrival could be slotted in - an xTool s1 diode laser. The laser was sent using Royal Mail ParcelForce and it seems that despite their efforts the unit arrived in working order....clearly the word Fragile means something different to them. The 3d printer was also in action to make a variety of joints and connectors for the extraction ducting...saved a small fortune on those. Whatever did we do before 3d printing!!
Jim Briggs sent over some a video of himself with a shotgun doing a bit of clay pigeon shooting, Jim also offered to model his Axminster apron again for some reason....still recovering from the trauma of the first time thanks Jim.....
Len Shield sent over some photos of a bit of woodturning he had been doing but also a pair of knitted figures made by his wife, I think based on the very popular patterns by Jean Greenhowe. There's a lot of work in those things! What a talented household !!!
Phil Irons sent over some video of a batch of small urns (keepsake/pets) which were approaching completion with the threaded inserts being added along with the lids. Some lovely timber on show!!
